WHAT DOES THIS PROJECT DO?
It provides advisory and consulting services
to municipalities af liated to the Federation of Municipalities of Guanacaste in the design and implementation of local and regional plans for regeneration and land use planning. These plans are based on transforming the municipalities and their local government in different dimensions: biodiversity, infrastructure, productivity, coexistence, habitat, and governance. It applies methods of transformative change to create a culture of adaptability.
HOW IS IT GOVERNED?
It is governed through agreements and long-term contracts. UCI also integrates a committee that carries out outreach and extension actions.
WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?
It is an alliance between FEMUGUA and the University for International Cooperation (UCI),
the boards of education, the water services administration associations (ASADA), the Municipal Development and Advisory Institute (IFAM), and the Territorial Development Institute (INDER). It is also a university outreach and extension program of UCI, with each individual municipality as a counterpart.
HOW IS IT VALIDATED?
By evaluating agreements and contracts resulting from the alliance between FEMUGUA and UCI, the specific projects designed and implemented, the potential monetary value of the projects in the long term, the quality of political links, outreach actions, data from the bio-region.
